Homily from the Twenty-ninth Sunday in Ordinary Time.
Great faith is the result of small, repeated “yeses" over time.
Every great story needs a beginning. But it needs more than just a beginning. A great story requires tension, obstacles, and patient perseverance. When we give God our “yes”, even when we don’t know how the story will end, we are walking the path of faith. This path is necessary to become the people God will us to be. But it is easy to forget and hard to remember the reasons we are walking in the first place. Because of that, we all need reminders in our lives who call us back to our “yes”.Mass Readings from October 16, 2016:
