Ant-Man and the Wasp Trailer Ignores Events From Infinity War - Movie Talk

In the aftermath of Captain America: Civil War, Scott Lang grapples with the consequences of his choices as both a super hero and a father. As he struggles to rebalance his life with his responsibilities as Ant-Man, he’s confronted by Hope van Dyne and Dr. Hank Pym with an urgent new mission. In an interview with The Associated Press, Kevin Feige tipped us off to some behind the scenes planning inside Marvel by revealing that he is looking seven years ahead. Even as the MCU’s next phase remains a mystery after 2019’s Avengers 4, Feige and the Marvel team have already started planning the slate for 2024 and 2025. THR is reporting that Mel Gibson has signed on to direct Destroyer, a World War II naval war movie as his follow-up to Hacksaw Ridge. Destroyer is based on the non-fiction book by John Wukovits titled Hell from the Heavens: The Epic Story of the USS Laffey and World War II’s Greatest Kamikaze Attack - the heroic story of the crew from the Laffey defending their ship from an astounding 22 kamikaze attacks. No release date or production start has been determined. Deadline reports that John Woo and Universal Pictures are teaming on a new version of his 1989 Hong King crime classic The Killer - with Oscar-winner Lupita Nyong’o in negotiations to play the assassin, a role originated by Chow Yun-fat. Bleecker Street has released the first trailer for the upcoming drama Leave No Trace, which marks the long-awaited follow-up feature from Winter’s Bone writer/director Debra Granik. Based on Peter Rock’s novel My Abandonment, the film tells the story of a man named Will (Ben Foster), plagued by PTSD, he lives in the forest outside Portland, Oregon with his 12-year-old daughter.
